A coworker of mine did the same trade, except he got an '08 Vette. It fits his needs better with a more space and gobs of torque. The Vette would take some getting used to on size aspect (longer and wider) but I wouldn't mind making an udgrade like that. (FYI, my goal is a Z06 Vette sometime in my life before I'm 50)

The 08 with NPP is the one I was referring to with the LS3 436 HP and the 05 is the 400 HP LS2. The 02 is the LS1 with 350 HP. What I am collecting is the LS family of motors. Next will be the LS8 at 505HP.

What motorcycles are there someone asked. A 02 Honda VXT1800 106 HP, a 04 Honda Rune 1832cc's 118 HP, a 96 cu. in. 07 Harley Davidson Softail Custom and a 07 95 cu. in Kawasaki Nomad.

Cars aren't art. Then why does a collector in N.Y have a Ferrari mounted on a wall in his apartment.

No. I never had the top down. My 6'5" son did once so that he could see over the top of the windshield. He only drove 25 miles before bringing it back. At least he could get in it. He tried to get in the Miata and couldn't

What I collect is history. Any thing will wheels but with cars and motorcycles I am interested in current examples that are of some note in automobile history.

When Honda comes out with a 3.5 in a S3500, you bet I will be back!

The Corvettes weigh in at 3200 lbs. I don't think that the S2000 is much lighter.

what's the point in collecting history if you're going to trade for another piece of history in a few years? not trying to give you a hard time...just trying to understand how this is meaningful to you.

I never said cars aren't art. I said that they are more than art.

Just because something is hung on a wall doesn't make it art. My tv hangs on the wall. That doesn't mean it's art. And even if it were art, there's no reason I can't watch tv on it.

Look. All I'm saying is personally, I think having a car just to have it is a waste. But again, to each his own. Some of us like having and some of us like doing.

Anyway, I think I'll go bake a cake and not eat it, then watch a movie with my eyes closed, then ask my hot girlfriend to come over and not touch her.

The red 05 S2000 had 4,400 miles on it. It is at Green Chevrolet in East Moline, Illinois. They said that they would put it on the internet as this area is a very small market for that car.

They discounted the Vette 3K and gave me 18,588 .

If anyone is interested they should check it out. It never was in the rain. I only took it over 6000 rpm's on my way to the dealer today. Nice little extra kick there.
Hmmm, a 05 with under 5k miles and only driven under 6,000rpm by a little old police chief to and from church (or something) for $18.5k. I think I need a S2k for the wife to keep her away from mine. Having two would be nice and would keep me from telling her that she can't drive mine.

But red in color

According to most art professor's any thing is art. Also, most collectors and museum's turn over there inventory periodically.

If you will buy me an 09 CR, I promise that I will keep it forever and rev the crap out of it with the top down.

I understand the loyalty to the S2000. It is a singularly unique car with an outstanding motor. I appreciate and value your comments.
