FINALLY!!!

Picked up my MY04 Grand Prix White / tan S2000 this morning!!

What a thrill! This day has been about two years in coming once I got to the point where I knew I was going to get the car. I've got a ways to go before VTEC but am having a blast already. Actually, it's a good thing I'm driving it easy because I'm not ready for VTEC yet. I've tried to miss a shift 2 or 3 times already. If I'd been pushing it, I'd might be buying a new engine! It hasn't really been that bad but it could be. I'm beginning to think that Honda's recommended break-in proceedure is a much for the driver as it is for the car!

Just wanted to let you know!

Drive Safe (I know I'm certainly going to try to! )

I have owned LOTS of Honda Motorcycles (currently 3 in the garage) and am fully aware of break-in procedure for them but I never even thought about the fact that a Honda car such as the S2k would have a factory recommended procedure. Don't get me wrong it makes all the sense in the world to me, it just never occured to me.

My CBR1000rrs breakin procedure according to the Owners Manual is: First 300 miles, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration.

That's it, a little vague but understandable. It also go w/o saying no lugging the motor and no highway droning.

So, what is "proper" for an S2K?
