So you used the makita rotary for applying the mazerna? And how do you like the edge 2000 pads (thats what they look like), I've been considering them for my dewalt but can't determine if its worth it.

Yes I used the Makita to apply both menzena polishes. The car had minimal swirls compared to most when purchased in July, however under the right lighting conditions, were very apparent as seen below:

As mentioned before all imperfections from the previous over caring, yet undereducated (in terms of detailing) owner were removed completely.

If you have some experience with a rotary the following products constitute my exact process after many years of testing and achieve excellent results.

Firstly the pads i use now are lake country, (not shown in the pic above)

Lakecountry 5.5" pads from autogeek.com
I also use a 3.5" variation of the same pads to get into tiny places and help prevent any possible paint burning with a big pad. These are excellent for use around the s2000 emblem and the small area of the trunk above the bumper.

The rest is in making sure are careful during washing and drying to make sure the car "stays" looking good.

Damn, I never do any customer's cars below 50 degrees. I have to hand it to you!

If anyone in the southeast wants their car done, you know who to ask!

I might have to get you to do my car sometime. How much for a full exterior detail, wash and wax?
