Default i've been getting REALLY good gas mileage lately

i usually get 250 or less miels per tank, but the last few times i've filled up i've been getting ~290 miles (~27 mpg), and today i hit the 300 miles mark...which has never happened before

could it be the warmer weather?

It could be a lot of things, but yes, warmer weather plays a role.

Also, gas blends change between winter and summer, and gas can have higher energy density depending on how the blend changes. For instance, the more ethanol they put in the gas, the lower your mileage will be.

The biggest factor is your driving patterns, though.

I have no clue either, but last week I got 320(!!!) miles from a single tank. Normally, I'm lucky to get 260. That was sure confusing.

denser air requires more gasoline. more air, more gas.
hot air requires less gas, less air less gas.

at least thats what i think

I typically got 290-320 when I was stock, and around 270-300 with 4.77 gears.

Now, I get maybe 160 to a tank...

Warmer air is less dense so you need less fuel for the proper air/fuel ratio. You make less power and use less gas, but this is not enough to account for an extra 3.75 mpg. A little less time at the high idle (waiting for temps to come up) might have helped a little. Probably mostly less VTEC or more steady state cruising.
