That video is great, thanks a lot for putting it together! Did a great job capturing exactly what is so tough to explain about why I love this car.

Spin question was a good one, as was the nice clip of the car humping dude.

Me? Nevvvver

Not too long after getting the S I was becoming a little more acquainted with it. I wasn't too aware of the need for smoothness on the throttle and accidentally got into a bit of a slide on a nice back road with ditches on either side. Back end came around right, then left while I tried to save it so I finally just put the pedal on the floor and spun the wheel hard to end it in a 180 facing the other direction about 3 inches from the ditch. Good wake-up call and I haven't done it since

Jackass driving instructor at Mosport in Toronto DID however get into a beautiful spin in my car onto the grass, at which point I promptly told him to GET OUT. He had told me I wasn't driving as hard as the car wanted to be driven and he could better show me than tell me. Pft. I was driving safe and fast enough, chasing the Viper GTS on the shorter technical track.

Mr. Simpson, I don't use the word 'hero' lightly, but you are the greatest hero in American history.

I wanted to share some S2000 history with the "younger" owners and also give something back to the community that I've been a part of since 1999.

We conducted some interviews within our group and after a month of editing, I have the finished product ready for downloading. Naturally, at 16 minutes long I needed to make some quality compromises to get it to a (barely) downloadable size of 110 Mb.

You can download a copy of the video here: www.satoauto.com
Colin, I'm glad this thread got bumped, because if it hadn't, I'd have missed it entirely, and as a result I'd have missed your great video.
Nice work.

I've seen professional driving instructors spin cars because they didn't take what the owner told them seriously, and it can be pretty irritating. At my first Evolution school with the S2000, I still had the all season radials the previous owner had put on the car, and the grip left a lot to be desired. I warned the instructors, but they were so sure that the traction problem was all due to driver error that they didn't take me seriously. Not until one of them drove the car, lost control, and hit a large pylon hard enough to throw it up into the front wheel well, ripping off one of the front strakes in the process. I had to laugh, but can't say I was real happy about having my car damaged.

I let the guy continue to drive the car, becaue you can't really hurt mucn on an autocross course, and because the guy was really a great instructor. However, if it had happened on the track, at speed, I think I'd have had to do what you did, and throw the bum out.

Good story.

Wow, that TL video is so old! The RSX video is the most recent Acura one Ive done and its a bit more fun! I'd like to think that I've gotten better in every aspect of video making. I'm writing a script for a new video on the '08 MDX. Hopefully this will boost sales for me a little (and allow me to continue to make fun ones)!
Well it was the TL video linked on Temple of VTEC back in the day that got me into your videos. You have an amazing talent for reviewing cars, looking forward to your MDX video!
