I've lost interest in her and it kills me
just boost the s2000. These cars boosted are just amazing to drive. I had a highly modded evo and my highly modded turbo s2000 for many years. I had to buy a prius because i'm driving over 100miles a day for work so i had to sell one of my cars and i ended up selling the evo. My turbo s2000 is just so fun to drive.
yes the evo is a great daily driver and is great in snow and bad weather but consider this. With both the s2000 and the evo keeping the engines stock the s2000 is far superior because of how much more power the f20c/f22c can and will support and the s2000 feels much better when out of boost. a evo with all bolt on on 91/93octane with make mid 300's for Wheel hp but the car will still be slow. it will spool fast but the top end power is crap and it will fall on its face after 5,000rpm. With e85/race gas the evo should make in low 400whp range and it will be ok but not super fast. plus with evos you always have to buy after market cams to make power which you never do this with an s2000. With an evo if you go with a bigger turbo like a gtx35r or so you will make maybe 400ish whp on 91/93octane but the car will be super laggy and this car feels like crap when not on boost. on e85/race gas you will be limited to 500whp because the stock engine is weak and that is the safe limit.
With the good super charged/turbo charged s2000 is good 400-450whp on pump 91/93 octane. The car will be decently fast at this level. plus because the car has high compression and was never meant to be boosted is will not feel 100% gutless like the evo when not in boost. with e85/race gas 600-700whp is pretty normal and reliable with the stock s2000 engine.

Sounds like you are going to get that Evo, one way or the other. Get it. A friend used to have a 2008 GSR. He loved it. Still yearns for another. But, is now marriage with a son (another on the way). Read: Honda Odyssey in his new main ride.
BTW... he wrecked it going 15MPH in an icy winter, while at U of Colorado. So don't think that AWD will always save you.

NOTHING can beat moving in 3D space, in a super high performance vehicle. I still can't get over how you guys land those planes on that moving, pitching flight deck. Esp, at night. My hats off to that!
Evos are great cars and i dont think you can go wrong either way. they have much more aftermarket support and at the end of the day its a much more practical car for everyday use. as far as power goes i think the s2000 blows an evo away when comparing stock motors. just last week i beat a full built 700+ whp evo with my stock motor/trans and diff.
I had this dilemma earlier this year.
I had a stock 2008 Civic Si sedan as a daily driver. Stock, totally reliable, fun car.
I had a RHD Evo 1, heavily heavily modified. It wasn't fun to drive because it was always on jackstands, the shifter was notchy and vague, it was loud, super stiff, and would cost thousands more to get it right. I wanted more from my summer car than a useless race car and considered the S2000 as a replacement for my Evo.
So what did I do? Sold the Civic, bought an S2000 as a DD. BOOM! Problem solved. Haven't looked back.

Lol....let's see what happens when you put a few more miles on it or modify it. Several of my friends were thrilled when they first bought their EVO but the feeling didn't last.
