Default Jacking

Has anyone found a low profile jack that will fit under this puppy? I thought mine was low but I guess it's not low enough. Maybe a racing jack would do it.

I don't have a low profile jack, so I drive up slowly on 2 x 4 planks to raise the front then jack up and lower on to stands. Works like a charm.

But if you PM Adelaide from the T.O. forum, he can get one for you for sure. I think he manufacturers them. They are these amazing aluminum ones that are super light with the capacity of 2 tons !

Regardless, Adelaide is the authority on "jacks" IMO.

If you want cheap, go to Wal-Mart. It's only $15 and it kinda looks like our stock jack but it jacks up instead of twist/turning of the handle. It also came in a nice plastic container and weighs like our stock jack. I forget the name of it, but it has a picture of a bull dog on it and it states "it's tough as a mac truck" or something. And I think it's a blue. It's small and portable so I'm keeping this one in my trunk instead of our std jack.

It's a 1 ton jack, but states on the box that it supports up to 3,000 pounds. I used it this past weekend and it worked fine. Placed my jack stands underneath mine and I was good to go.

The othe thing is you can lift up the real fender while someone places the jack underneath the car.

I never thought about the 2x4 idea though, that's one man job. and seems cheaper.

I don't think that's low enough. The sides are too tall.

Now that's a jack! I'm sure that will work. I was starting to get desparate.

Nice picture!

*Changed your title for more detail*

I bought some ramps that have extentions for lowered cars to drive up on without damage. Also the 2x4 works great
