Default Jackstand types

Do the craftsman jackstands fit the jackstand points??

Nope, not these. Look for the Craftsman 4500# set with flat saddles. They are about $20/pair. While you are at it look for the aluminum jack rated at 1.5 tons. You can get this on sale for $89.

I just checked the Sears site. The stands are 14.99/pair and the 3000# jack is $99.

I have one pair of those stands and while the cradle doesn't fit exactly, they still fit under the frame rails in the front and the rear suspension subframe in the rear. I'm confident that they'll hold the car safely.

i fear damaging the frame. Do you happen to have any pics? if you can pinpoint for me which part of the frame you place the stands on i would appreciate it.

Yeah, I don't use the side jack points either. I put them under the frame front and back with shop-towels on the saddles so, they don't scratch the paint.

You pretty much want the shortest ones.
