i recently purchased a seibon vsII carbon hood, and also interested in the J's tsuchinoko intake, just wondering if anyone has this setup and what kind of modification was needed to make it fit

I'm not sure what the VSII hood looks like, but if it were OEM shaped, you'd need to cut part of the underside of the hood where the large bulb part of the intake will reside. It it looks like a Mugen or J's hood with the bulge already there, you'll be fine. Install the intake first and use some light padding to see if it'll scratch the cf hood, or post pics of this VSII hood. I don't think a lot of peeps know what it looks like.
