Japanese Domestic Market.

"jdm" is a fad. Basically trying to get USDM cars to look more "jdm" (japanese)

I donno, sometimes due to 'regulations' we just ahve some really tacky looking stuff, like really big orange side markers on a black car......

I dunno...

Clear corners? Ok, fad.

JDM Forged BBS alloy wheels? Not so much a fad.

It could go both ways.

When people are referring to the style of their car and mods as "jdm" then it`s a fad.

Not all JDM things are fads and useless. For example, JDM stooks have slightly higher compression that takes advantage of better available gas. I'm not sure if it is just a thinner gasket or what, but in that case JDM is a "real" advantage.
