nothing reall except that your exhaust is still the pre 06 model on the US models. the hangy pipe is still round. in 06 the US models and possibly the japanese models hangy pipe on the exhaust is oval in shape.

now with the coming of the '08, what is honda going to sell us consumers?

is it going to be a global conversion to AP2 and F22C or will there be some mix and match cars still being manufactured?

frankly, for a mass production car, Honda is sure bending over backwards to get so many chassis/engine specs/colors rolling out of its factory...heard u can even customize the interior if you want to....

not that i really NEED to know... first thing on my list is exhaust and some body mods, but i would definetly like to know before i buy a new clutch or whatever
i think i'm gonna try reaching out to local Honda, ie one step up from the dealers.

I guess I don't really *need* to know either, but it does matter when it comes to modifying the car. It's also interesting, and at times a bit humorous. Who would have guessed that not all AP1's incorporate roll understeer?

This is the first I've heard that the JDM MY04-05 tranny did not get the same ratio as the USDM. I'd really like to see more info on that. And it does not make sense looking at the Best Motoring vid. At the start the MY04 out accelerates the MY03 and the only reason that could be, given at least somewhat decent drivers at the launch, is that the MY04 has the different reduction gear. Otherwise, the only conclusion is that the MY03 driver really really sucks at launching.

I wonder if someone in the Japanese forum can help...
This is news to me as well. But then, simply looking at the video, you see that the yellow 2004/2005 seems to have the USDM AP1 gear ratios when you look at where the rev limiter kicks in. If you use a speed converter to back things out, the USDM AP2 gearing cannot really achieve those speeds (in km/h) even with a 9000rpm redline.
