jdm s2000 non- leather seats?
They are made of vinyl. I belive that the Japanese have a cultural bias against leather seats. It might have something to do with leather workers have traditionally been the considered the lowest on the social ladder.
is just the center part of the seat are not leather.
IMO, with leather seat looks so much better in the S2000, most people in Japan still option the leather seat, and if you want non-leather seat, black interior is the only choice.

I actually prefer the cloth inserts, especially if it was a contrasting color, for instance in the case of the Suzuka, perhaps a silver insert. Even up here, in the summer, leather can get mighty hot to plant one's ass on and even with the side bolstering, cloth is simply a better fabric to minimize sliding around during aggressive driving. A cloth/leather combo with two-tones would work for me...any photoshoppers bored?

Interesting thread because as I was driving the better half's IS300 into work today I found myself thinking how nice it would be to have Alcantra inserts in our seats as opposed to full leather. IMO, the alcantra/suede inserts hold you much better in your seats and are way, way better on your legs and butt when it's either too hot or too cold outside.
I think that some day, hopefully long from now, when my OEM seats need recovering I might find a way to put alcantar inserts into the seats.

I jsut picked up a JDM passenger (our US driver side) S2K seat. it is a grey leather. but not silky smooth like the USDM. it is grippier like a sort of suede material. and the inserts is a black alcantara cloth material.
