I wonder if they get tattoos of american words on themselves like people get Japanese symbols and letters on themselves here.

You'll have to excuse my American friend, he means English words.

That's is funny though...

I knew a Japanese engineering student in college that said that a lot of guys in Japan put Lexus badges on their Toyotas. I'm sure there are a few Acuras there, too.

Funny thing was he drove a Z28, I had a '90 Civic Si- he asked me why I would drive a car like that when the Camaro was available here so cheaply. I thought it was funny. Nice guy, I was sort of missed him after he graduated and went back to Japan.

Its funny you ask this .. Recently there was a post over on Acura-TL.com with TONS of pictures of Honda Legends being converted to Acura Legends or RLs, Honda Inspires being converted to TLs ... Its pretty funny that the USDM stuff is valued so much over there while the JDM stuff is value so much over here. I guess its all about being different and standing out from the crowd ...

Here's the post if you wanna checkout the pictures:

There's money to be made here. All Honda has to do is bring out a new 2005 S2000 in Japan under the Acura badge, give it no nav, a few color choices and limited seat options to make it just like the US and give us the Nav, multiple color options along with any color seat we want and they'll sell double of both.

Infact, Honda in Japan should just rename itself to Ford. That way they'll have the ultimate USDM look. Big blue ovals on all the S2000, only call it the F2000 and have a Harely Davidson edition that gives you extra chrome and pin striping.

On a serious note, I think that someone should try to set up a connection or website that lets JDM and USDM guys do even trades online. You know, my seat/wheel/side marker for yours? Have the guys just cover shipping and both are happy.

Unfortunately, I'm fresh out of Japanese friends and connections. Any takers?

>> This thread << was a sorry investigative effort on my part back in 2002. While it devolved into a discussion about The Bruised Banana...within a first few posts you'll see that my interest in finding a home (for all the amber diffusers I collect from clearing corners) met with little interest.

Grass might be greener for some...but seemed for most that they rather also appreciate the clean look of clear diffusers .

PS. Which reminds me...guess I need to take another trip to the dump ...

PPS. Even better memory, >> discussion of what to do with the amber diffusers after conversion <<.

[QUOTE=Elistan,Aug 18 2004, 02:21 PM] I've seen pictures of Japanese girls wearing t-shirts with random American words on them.

I think it just some craze that will hopefully killed itself out because I want the JDM craze to end.
