I just noticed my driver's seat is a bit dirty, or so i thought. It turns out the leather has taken on some color from my too new jeans. I've made an appointment with a car care company, i just hope they will be able to get the color out. I've also asked them to apply their leather protection system (apparently this will seal the leather and make it easier to clean). They said it's a good idea to cover the seat with a towel or similar if you want to drive in jeans. I hope they will be able to restore the seat.

Anyway, just wanted to pass on the warning about blue jeans and leather...

 

Abercrombie, GAP, JCrew, Banana Republic jeans are harmless. Try those, but I don't know if these are popular in your part of the world.

 

It was Levis, and even though they were washed a couple of times they seem to bleed a bit anyway.

in support of levis- mainly what i wear- no problems with my seats. they are as black as the day i bought the car!!

also...gotta be careful to make sure your right rear pocket button isn't buttoned as it can hang up on the seat bolster on the way in......[hey greg ,any miniskirt tips??]

 

Just take off your pants before getting in!
You can blame all the gawks and finger-pointing on the hot car.

 

I've got the black leather in my S2000, but both my wife's 501s and my 501s have actually left some blue 'patches' on the tan leather in our '98 Accord.

Forget the so-called leather "protection" system. All they will do is reduce the life of the leather and make it more like cardboard.
