bassman, as a fashion-conscious euro, I guess your jeans must have been raw denim (G-star, Diesel, Pepe, Evisu...?), and dark blue.
Our overseas fellows, on the other hand, still wear mostly light-blue jeans, consequently not facing our problem...

Also careful wearing a pager or cellphone on your waistband, I scraped the leather in my old Vette from the pager after just a few times getting in and out before I noticed it.

Yes, they are of the darker blue variety (Levi as i wrote in a previous post), but have been washed both before the sale and by myself a couple of times. They still bleed though. The light blue ones should be OK.

another very surprising thing I've noticed in the USA : although this country is probably one of the most technologically advanced in the world, people still use pagers!!!
In europe everyone has forgotten the time when we used these devices (4 yrs ago for me, but I was late to switch to the cellular), and EVERYONE has a mobile phone, since they're now the cheapest and most practical way of communicating.
But I guess practicality and efficiency isn't a major concern for the country that produces 'vettes...

New Levi's will bleed for a Looongg time. Americans prefer the stone washed or weathered look which have most of the excess dye processed out. The towel is not a bad idea until the jeans are more weathered.

It's our cowboy culture.

LeCar:

Vette's are a blast, but at your gas prices, you would go broke feeding them. I had a LeCar once, which was once too many. Your wine and cheese are great tho...

Laird( last name...LaZell) French descendent.

Love your sig.

"WOW!!! you mean you already have mobil phones, I've heard about those things. Thats great."

exactly! probably have only seen or heard about them... you yanks are the last developed country on earth to actually use them!

From what I saw in the US only pimps, whores and crack dealers have a cell-phone...Everyone else has a stupid pager

I have a pager and a cell phone!

Does that make me split between two generations?

Then again, I also ride a bicycle and drive a S2000......
