Default JIC 505ST Single Exhaust

I'm looking to purchase the JIC 505ST Single Exhaust. I've attempted to search for reviews but haven't found much info. All I've found is that the exhuast is loud, looks good and so on.

I wanted to know if anyone has dynoed this setup. Please chime in if you hae this exhaust. Thanks in advance.

I have it except it's the 505Ti (full titanium). Sounds good, pretty loud if you get it without resonator.. but if you get it with the resonator, I'm warning you it will lose you some power. Lemme see if I can upload a pic of it on my car.

Ignore the center on the bottom of the bumper, how it hangs. I've recently bolted it up where it's supposed to go. (So it looks better now that in these pics)

One thing I can tell you about the exhaust that I got came with the resonator. After a few weeks the internals on the resonator came loose and made a very annoying rattling noise. So, I had the resonator cut out and 2.5" straight pipe to replace it.

My point is that if you want the power and can handle it being pretty loud, do NOT get the resonator because it made such a huge restriction that I could FEEL more constant power throughout the rpm range without it. Otherwise, it's a great product, just don't get that resonator or you're gonna lose power or just come out even, and your resonator could go bad just like mine did. They're currently examining it under warranty.

sorry to hijack the thread but i have the jic st w/ resonator.. its loud as it is so is it possible to replace the resonator with a better flowing one? Is it the resonator from jic that is losing the power?

Yes they make a dual, not sure about titanium though.

And it's the JIC resonator that loses power, if you found one that had better flow then it'd be fine. I looked inside the JIC resonator after it got cut out and thought OH MY GOD cause the inner diameter was about 1.5" tops which = not enough flow, especially with a supercharger

I should also add that with the resonator, I had always wondered why I felt a power LOSS from 8-9k instead of a power GAIN, which you should have by the way the supercharger works. After removing the resonator, it built power all the way to 9k.

How much do aftermarket resonators go for anyway?

When I ordered mine, they asked if I wanted it with the resonator or not, so it's possible they'll give you that option as well. I got mine at vividracing.com.
