Default July 4th weekend road trip (pics)

Here are a few pics from a 3-day 1600 mile excursion into NC and TN.

Mostly on the Blue Ridge Parkway, with a visit to Deals Gap.

Some of the best driving roads I have visited lately.

Er nevermind, there seems to be a technical issue with posting pics...

Anyway, a great road trip, with lots of fun driving.

The BRP, especially in NC where its at 4-6000 feet is just breathtaking.

Mt Mitchell (Highest peak east of the Mississippi) was a great spot too.

Deals gap is a nice piece of road, but too short and a bit over-rated.. Also heavily enforced.

And stay away from Gatlinburg TN, unless you like touristy stuff.

I got stuck there in a huge traffic mess.

Not that I could tell, it was nice and cool also, so that may have helped compensate a bit.

This is one awesome road, Rt 16 in SW VA.

Unless you get stuck behind a Hay truck.

Actually, my Spa S2000 is visible in the 4th photo down in the parking lot.

Here is another.
