Jumped my S2K!!
Seriously, caught air!
Scared the living *&%# out of me!
It was about 2am and I spanked a Camaro on the highway on the way home, which got my adrenaline going a little too much. So on the (very rural) road home, I was pushing 115 over a small bridge. (I usually don't go through there above 80 because of the deer, pigs, possoms, etc.; speeding too much is basically stupidly dangerous... but I digress...)
So, usually when I go over this bridge, the lip on the far side of the bridge substantially lightens you in your seat. This time, the entire car left the ground. Engine revved, and I started fishtailing big-time when the rears touched down. This is a narrow two-way, two-lane road, with little room for swerving.
Take my word for this. Fishtailing at 115 on a narrow road is not something for the faint of heart! In any other car, I would be toast!
Anyway, I recovered pretty quickly and I'm here to talk about it. It was pretty cool to hear the engine start revving all of the sudden, and I am very impressed with the recovery, and I guess it was kinda fun...

Very cool, but dangerous. There's this fwy onramp near where I live and it has somewhat of a mound. If I take it too fast the car will slightly lift and my rears will chirp when I come back down. It's not as severe as your bridge though.
I have launched Scarlet a couple of times, but not nearly the speeds you are talking about. It was pretty damn cool! Actually, Sondra was with me. it was quite fun!
Glad you are OK...and that your car is not damaged.
Try to keep all 4 on the ground...

Wow...sure sounds like a scary experience. Even though I haven't had my S2K delivered yet, I can only imagine what that must have felt like. I remember many years ago (while still in High School) we were driving around as teenagers do in my buddies' 86 Prelude "Special Edition" when we caught some air. Result; grins on the faces of 2 16 year olds, but a cracked windshield, buckled pillar, and cracked paint on the roof of the car. Not fun

As I was reading that all that kept coming to mind was air horns blowing "Dixie" and two guys in an orange Charger going "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaw"!!!
I was going over a small bridge that crosses a canal out in the country a few weeks ago, was in 3rd gear accellerating pretty hard at about 75mph at the time I hit the bridge. The second I hit the bridge I could tell I'd left terra firma because I instantly hit the rev limiter. Luckily I wasn't in the air too long and it was a perfect 3-point landing. Afterwords, it made me do this --->

So, that would be the special limited edition General Lee version of the S2K.
