Rx8-sweet deal, congrats on your purchase too. Glad to hear your loving yours. I love the look of the red interior. Do you have any performance mods you will do in mind? How does the S2000 compare to the RX-8 performance wise and all around? Take care.

 

performance wise, i would give the slight egde to the S2000. The power delivery on the Rx8 is more smooth but u do feel slight surge at 4000 rpm when the extra port opens up and it consumes gas like crazy i got around 14-15 mpg on city and 21 on highway. it handles as well as the S2000 and i love the extra seats but im a single guy with no kids so i didnt have much use for it. i sold it because i was moving back to Guam (island in pacific). in fact im the only white S2k on the island. there are only 6 of them on island.
to sum it up, the Rx8 was like a 4 door S2000 to me. i had the Rx8 in Oregon....i must admit i get as much looks on the Rx8 as the S2000..

i love the performance on the S2000 especially when vtec kicks in and the precise handling. also gotta love the topdown.

my tentative mod is a dual hks hi-power exhaust which my friend would let me do a straight swap for my oem. we'll see.

Thanks for the review. The car has the HKS hi-power exhaust, AEM cold air intake, and the Apexi air/fuel VTEC controller. The car should be here hopefully next week I just purchased it and it is getting shipped here. I can't wait for the first drive and hear the exhaust open up.
