Anyone ever tried putting a F20C in a 2004 S2K (in NA)? If so whats needed? I know thats what they have in Japan still but did they get the other mods in Japan for 2004 that we got? Like the transmission, suspension mods and new wheels? I hope I don't get flamed and remember I am just curious...

u will find F22C in only america......
honda designed the 2.2 liter engine for those american who complained that there is no torque but i believe that is only thing that is different than S2000s in different countries
of course as you know it comes in two trims in japan ( i dont know if they do in europe) base and VGS
as far as suspension and all it all should be the same around the world regardless it is made for japanese market or american market except for the displacement of the engine

 

If you want an F20C, just buy a freakin' pre-04 S2000.

 

why are you saying I should buy a pre 04? I already have an 04 and was curious if anyone put a F20C in an 04. Are you saying that everything om the pre 04 is better?

 

Two weeks before, our honda club in Greece organised a special meeting to welcome the HONDATA president. (i think his name is Doug).
He told as that the '04 US version S2k (F22C) produces 270hp. Is that true? Have you ever dyno a 2004 S2k?
But he said it was a secret, because we dont get this engine. HONDA says its 240hp on purpose.

I have been told that it dynos more hp but I don't know if its that much more hp.

 

Honestly though if the 2.2 had that much more hp why is it not in Japan?

 

They respect the 9, .... I dunno..

i think we were complaining about torque, and Honda wanted us happy.
