Just drove a 225hp TT Here's how it stacks up
The seats, IMHO, were not nearly as nice as in my S2K; they didn't seem to be as nicely bolstered and the under thigh support was not as good. The gear box had a cable feel to it and the throws were much longer and less direct than in the S2K. I have an amp, JL Audio coax speakers and an underseat subwoofer with the factory receiver in mine and my system is far more powerful sounding with deeper, richer bass and crisper highs with better imaging than the 5 speaker Bose system in the Audi. Once underway, the Audi seemed bulkier and far less "flingable" than the S2K. Eventhough the TT was a quattro, it did seem to have alot of understeer in the corners. The Audi does have some nice torque but power seemed to drop off from 6000 rpm and over. The S2000 is the quicker car. The Audi had a softer, more supple ride but the interior noise level seemed to be about the same. I also think that the driving position in the S2K is more comfortable for me which gives me the feeling of oneness with the car that I did not get from the Audi. I think the Audi is a nice car but is far less sporting that the S2000. I sure love my S2K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

. But when I test drove the S2K and realized there isn't a tremendous amount of turbulence in the cockpit...and that, with that, the heater in the S2K works juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust fine. God, I love this car!

I would have to say that if the 225 TT was the same price of the S2K, I would have bought the TT.
It is much roomier, heated seats, great Bose stereo, a headrest I can actually rest my head on, baseball optic leather (SWEET), four wheel drive, a wind guard that actually cut down the wind.
Dont get me worng I love my S2K but driving 100 miles a day you sometimes wish you had those extra luxuries.

no need to trash other cars. the TT is a very nice car in its own way. i am sure TT owners trash s2000 for its low torque, bland styling, small trunk, cheap stock stereo, no glove compartment and lack of luxury amenities. not everyone value performance over everything else like we do. peace.
