I ordered a new one from competch and it lookes used... is there supposted to be scratches on the outside? Also it looks like it has beel shaved down a little on the inside of the intake... I could take a pic but I wont be able to post it. What should I do?

 

They are a good company. They would send you a new one. Call them.

 

They are closed now so I can't call till tomorrow... Any advise on if I have a damaged one or not? Is it supposted to be shaved inside part of the intake? Looks like someone just look snad paper and shaved it down a little. Just odd to me.

 

Comptech had a issue with the intake cover touching the hood and rattling. They might have shaved it down a bit.

 

mine was new and had that. its probably just something that happens during the manufacturing process. The cf lid was perfect

 

was it in the intke tube itself right by then enterence?

 

Wait, what exactly is scratched? The outside of the plastic box? The plastic hoses? The CF Lid?

if the lid is perfect and there are some scratches on the box, don't worry about it. You will never see it once installed. If it is the Lid then they will gladly replace it for you. CompTech has been great for us to work with as a bussiness as well as personally. I owned their intake before we ever carried their products.

 

in side the intake tube (not the box) itself is shaved down considerable. the out side of the intake tube (not the box) is scratch alittle bit which does not bother me but I just thought it was going to be new and shiny. The box it self is in excellent shape.

 

I just got my comptech box in today, and i just looked it over. I do not see any scratches on the outside of the box as you are explaining. Give them a call tom.

 

the box is fine... I am talking about the intake piping!!! the INSIDE of the intake piping has been shaved down right at and passed the entrence of the intake PIPE (not box). Was your intake PIPE shaved down on the inside near the enterance?
