Just got my '04 Silverstone S2000!
Hi fellas, got my my s2k last friday at Metro Honda in Montclair. It's a Silverstone Metallic with Black/Red Interior. I turned in my '02 Sebring Silver S2k because it was a lemon
After about a few days of driving I've noticed certain things that was really noticable. All of these are already discussed in previous threads but I just want to show what I experienced.
I noticed the steering ratio to be a tad slower than what it used to be. The ride is softer not by much but it is noticable. The tires don't grip as well and the car understeers a bit unlike the 02.
On the bright side I noticed the gas pedal to be more responsive, the car more controllable when the tail slides and of course the low end torque. I live in the hills so I noticed that the most. I don't need to rev that baby before letting go of the clutch.
All in the all, the 04 is a really nice car just like my 02 but not as go-karty but a raw sports car still. I don't regret it at all and the low end torque is a big plus. I sure do miss the 9K redline but it's a trade-off. I haven't redlined it yet due to break in but I will soon
So for all you people who want to get an 04, by all means do so, as it is a very fun car still and still is a S2K.

I didn't pay anything actually. It was a swap because my 02 was a lemon car. I basically got the 04 for free. I'm pretty sure if you were to buy it you can get it under MSRP, prolly around 30-31 since sales hasn't been really good and they rarely sell S2000s anyway. My car doesn't come with any options, and is bone stock.
Got my 04 silverstone with black/red interior last friday. It is a more refined car but still is somewhat raw compared to competition. My wife liked the ride better and felt it was roomier (elbow and leg room) I got mine form Jeff (hardtopguy) for $30,995 and he delivered it to my front door himself from Ohio. Got black carpet instead of red, Ricks red/black wheel which looks awesome, front spoiler, security/alarm system, 8 disc CD changer, XM radio and headrest speakers which sound great. Got Jeffs discount on all accessories plus installation charges. Total 34K. I had a 00 and I agree with comments from Veilo. I dont think the risk of blowing the engine is as likely as pre 04 models since I blew my 00 engine with one misshift. Jeff tells me there are other internal engine changes which help to prevent this. He didnt elaborate.
