Default Just got my new 04 S2000!!

Hey everyone! I just got my new S2000! Holy crap...it's everything I thought it would be and more. I can't wait to get it out to Hawaii in a couple months!! (I'm in the Navy)

I got a Silverstone/Black with 13 miles on it for $30,500. It looks soooooooo good. And it drives even better. Every time I get in it it's begging me to redline it, but I'm going to resist and break it in properly.

Looks like this is an awesome forum. I previously had a 2000 Maxima and I've come over from maxima.org, which was pretty good too.

I can't wait to get to know everyone!

Congrats! I know just how you feel. I've had my Rio yellow a week and a half now but only driven it three times. It's been raining too much. For me it's as if I'm driving a Ferrari judging by all the dropped jaw looks and thumbs up that I get. I put a Comptech cai on it but like you am dying to get it to Vtec. 5000 rpm sure comes up quick even at half throttle and Ive been explaining to friends and family to just wait until it's properly broken in. Btw I used the same expression that you did. Holy crap!

Congrats from a fellow MY04 owner! You're going to have a blast living in the islands.

How easy was it to install the comptech CAI? Was there any fitiment issues? Do you have to relocate the alarm horn? Have you noticed any performance or sound differences?

Installing the Comptech was a PITA as most people say on this site. You can do a search and find some good photos on the install or go to the Comptech website for color install pics. They are clearer than the B&W instructions that come with the cai. If I could post pics I would. There was a fitment issue at the intake horn. MY04's require a spacer between the aluminum intake and and the flexible rubber collar so you get a nice tight seal with the hose clamps. I just used a piece of dense rubber approx. 1/16" thick and wrapped it around the horn then carefully slid the collar over. PM me if you need help

There are many roads to Nirvana in intakes, depends on the outcome you seek. For noise, a box works well. Ultimate Lurker swears that the dyno loves the AEM V.2, but it involves a fair amount of cutting, and you must watch large puddles in Hawaii. I went for the Spoon, which leaves the car essentially stock, and may add a slight pressurization increase at speed. It pulls cooler air in from low down in front of the radiator.

Enjoy your car - I have a 2004 as well, and love it - only 1300 miles in 5 months, so i need to love it more.

You will find many good people drive S2000's. You meet the nicest people on a Honda (anyone remember that one?).
