Default Just got my s2k

After weeks of drooling... I finally have my sebring s2k. But I juat want to ask one thing, does anyone know the proper way to break this baby in? This is going to be my daily driver so I want to do whats best for her. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

For those of you that are still deciding on whether or not to get this car, it took me 2 seconds to decide I wanted it, first second I saw it, and then took another second for me to stop drooling.

Sniff Sniff.. i'm so happy

Read the Manual... if I had one... I would have read it at the dealership!

Congrats. One thing that is always said. Stay below VTEC for 600 miles and take it easy.

Also, vary your speed. Don't just drive it on the interstate/highway for 600 miles. Drive in town and on the highway for 600 miles, without VTECing.

Do as PlasticTHUG says and read your manual. Kinda take with a grain of salt any advice you hear here unless it is the same as what your manual says.

What a coincidence. You have the same good taste in cars and colors that I do. Welcome aboard. I like your choices. Enjoy.

Follow all of the advice that you've gotten so far and check your oil often. At least at every fillup. Get to know the car. Learn how it drives before you start to drive it hard.

Welcome

I'm just now at 500+ miles pushing it to 5Krpm or just a bit over. Still babying the engine. Can't wait till I get to 600, but even then I'll still baby it, every hundred miles = x1000 rpm. For the first 300 miles I tried to keep it no more than 3500rpm.

Just baby it and you'll be fine. Check your oil yes, I haven't loss much, but I ALWAYS check it.

Congratulations on the new S2000. You picked a fine color as well.
I'm celebrating having been on the road with mine for one year this week.

As has been said before, read the manual - it'll answer a lot of questions.

Congrats! Again, a beautiful color choice.

Here's my favorite rendering of our car: The dude is a character from Tekken.
