Depends on state / country law. If it goes by the california clean air act, technically your exhaust (be it just catback) breaks that laws so take it FWIW.
but how would a cat back system cause any more pollution than the stock system. It's AFTER the cat, after the cat it's all the same.......isn't it?

Ever see 4 or 5 harley's with open pipes blow right by the cops and the police don't even give them a second look .... tell the cops that since your s2000 is small and you dont want to get squished, you made it louder so you are more visable..... worth a shot.....
