Default Just installed Borla exhaust...

Well my Borla exhaust finally arrived (it was on back order from Borla for a month) and I just got it installed a couple of days ago. I decided on Borla because I loved the Borla exhaust on my 96 Cobra, and I found a pretty good deal on it. The fit and finish of this exhaust is excellent. It is also much lighter than stock (which appears pretty easy to do since the old exhaust is like some kind of anchor.) The Borla exhaust has a really nice tone; deep and throaty. My only complaint is that it's too quiet. I didn't want an exhaust that was obnoxiously loud, but when the car is cold, you can't hear the exhaust AT ALL. It sounds no different than stock. Only after the car has been driver for about 15 minutes can you hear the exhaust at all. Even then I have to really listen for it to hear it over the engine (I also have an Injen CAI.) I'm really shocked at how quite this exhaust it. Was definitly not he case with their exhaust for my Cobra. When warmed up, the exhaust sounds like it should have sounded directly from Honda. Not like an aftermarket exhaust at all. Has anyone else had this experience with an aftermarket exhaust? Will it get louder as it gets broken in more?

IIRC Borla uses fibergalss mufflers, so the sound should improve over time both in volume and tone. Give it a few months.....

I had an Apexi N1 that was the same way. It sounded stock when I first started the car after installing it and then over a period of about a month it slowly got meaner

Thanks for the feedback. Makes me feel better about the exhaust knowing it will get louder over time. I didn't take any pictures, but once installed it looks pretty much like the stock exhaust. I purchased it from http://www.adaracinginnovations.com/home.htm

Link is for the company, but there are no pics of the exhaust on there.

This exhaust is one of the 'big mysteries' of the S2000. It has been around for awhile but no one has posted any decent pics of it, or its weight.
