Parking Rules:

1) Always park in an end stall or next to the handicapped stall cause you're only exposed on one side.
2) Always park on the passenger side, there's only a 50% chance there is a passenger.
3) Avoid parking next to an SUV. They're too high and they all seem to have an attitude.
4) Never park next to a car with a child seat, mommy will not care about your car if she needs to get junior in his seat.
5) Park next to a nice, clean car. They usually respect other nice clean cars.

Muz, the Conrad Jupiter's carpark really does look like a damn hole for one thing. The Integra Type R courtesy car from Gold Coast Honda for my last holiday was sure one of the most expensive cars around. Damn, it's a horrible casino as well ... I think it's even more shabby than Canberra's.

I guess I am not alone in my feelings about car parking. I always worry about the car whenever I leave to go in anywhere. Always take a space away from everything else.

Its true about parking in the middle of an empty lot. Its like a target has been painted on the side. Its best to get to a side or back of a lot if thats a choice as thats really too far away for the a holes to try to bug you. Also remember not to back in a space. That will leave the very interesting front of the S2k out for viewing. That attracts too much attention.

It seems that when you can pull in a back space, the back of the car isnt that interesting and I have found you usually dont get fingerprints on the windows and hood.

I wont take the car to the movies because cant see it, and I saw Pinky's car and would be sick if that happened to the baby.

Not just a car, just THE car.

Since I work from home, I don't have to worry about parkign the car anywhere except my own garage. However, when I do take it out, I mkae sure to park far away from anything and always try t protect one side by parking next to a curb or a handicap spot. I also algle the car into the spot so that the door are pretty far away from anything.

Also, if I'm not familiar with the parking situation, or am goingto a place that has bad parking, I just take the Prelude instead.

Da Hapa, that Island's story was pretty funny.

I do it too. . . I will never use the S2K as a commuter. . .

In fact, if the S2000 is going to be out of my sight for more than a few minutes, or if I have to park in a crowded lot or parallel park, I take the Prelude. . . IT may seem anal, but that's why I kept the Si (peace of mind matters). . . It would haunt me to no end if the S2K got damaged because I took it somewhere that I would usually take the Prelude. . .

The general rule: My S2000 is meant to be driven. So, when I take it out of the garage I drive it. . . Then I put it back in the garage

I do it every day. I have secure parking at work and home and I still turn around and check her out before going upstairs.
I even cover her before going inside the house to keep the cat off.

Since I have a congenital heart condition, I qualify for a handicapped parking permit. I am not ashamed of this, and my car is the chief beneficiary. My baby is always safely ensconced in a nice, wide spot where she is safe from harm (unless some a$$ decides to purposely do her damage). I guess I look fairly healthy (53-years -old), because I've been challenged on more than one ocassion by someone about my parking place. I simply whip out my medicare card to silence any protests.

It used to be great but now they seem to let any a$$hole in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts in. Greed corrupts I guess.

Yes .. me too. My car is well sheltered with a nice Merc on either side.

When I go downtown I have a free lockup park at a client's resort. It's great. I would absolutely dread having to park in one of the public car parks. In that event I'd just take the g/f's Civic I think
