Good choice. Good luck and waiting to here your review.

BTW:
Bought my gears from Hardtopguy too (4.56). Nice guy and very responsive in answering all my questions. Hardtopguy will be installing them for me this weekend... I cannot stop thinking about it I keep thinking to myself this is going to be the best mod because when I drive I love to constantly shift and control the rpm, downshifting / rev matching here and there, keeping the car in the sweet spot each time I'm accelerating and this mod will keep give me a better advantage mechanically to rev up the engine and put it in the sweet spot without bogging the car at slower traffic rates.

I will never know unless I try this mod. Wish me luck.

Reading all the reviews here have really helped to convince me that this mod will make the car a lot more fun to drive.

I'm looking forward to it.

the 04-05 diff is not any stronger than the pre 04. i hope you didn't pay anything for this "upgrade". if you did, you got ripped off big time.

Actually the MY04+ differential has been enhanced. It was a materials change which is why it's hard to look at it and say it's visually different.

The differential has been beefed up considerably as well. By moving to an FCD material (from FC), the case rigidity was improved by 40% while the overall case strength was increased 20%. Gear fatigue resistance was also improved by 5% through a change in the shot peening method for the drive pinion gear.

Here is a link that explains what was changed. MY01, MY04 and CompTech diffs, Photos showing the differance

The materials did not change. There is a change in the caps, and oil passage. That is documented in the above thread.
