Just ordered NEW "Light In Sight" for my Stook!
Guys:
I just ordered a "Light In Sight" for the windshield of my stook. It's a wide angel "Fresnel" lens made from flexible, optical-grade plastic. It refelcts images such as traffic lights so you can easily see them without contorting your neck. . .
This has been a problem for me in the stook with the top up or down since the bar covers my line of sight. I am really excited to be getting one of these. My understanding is you simply moisten the back of this with some water and it adhere to your windshield. It can removed anytime with no sign it was ever there before!
Has anyone tried one of these? Also, if you're like me, you'll probaly need a visual. . .you can find one on page 141 of the August '01 Car and Driver magazine (The Audi TT Review under "Baubles and Bolt-Ons." The website is in the works and is very plain but has the contact info to order! Mine comes next week and I'll be sure to put it to the test and let everyone know how it works! Possibly a group buy?!?

I'll like to see what it looks like ... apparently the website shows nothing but gears in connectivity. Sounds like a good product, though I have no problem driving my car with super dark tint that is barely visible to look outside from the inside at night.

How tall are you?? I'm 5' 9" and I don't havea problem with the bar getting in my line of sight. Just wondering if your height is a problem, or how you sit in the car isa problem.

Please understand that this is not a HUGE problem just a minor inconvenience. . .
Also, I sit straight up and not in a "pimp lean" position!
So, I am not sure. . .however, I am patiently awaiting my arrival of the "Light IN Sight."
Also, it's not so much the bar in my line of sight straight on. . .it's when you sit under a traffic light. . .because of the angle, you are unable to see the lights. . .
Hey, we're the same size. I prefer to sit with that "pimp" lean so maybe that's why I don't have as much of a problem as you.
Also, in CA, we have traffic lights on both sides as well as above. I usually end up looking at one of those.

Here in NC, I guess were just lucky to have stop lights!
