I plan on making this my weekend project. I want to know if there are other items I can care of while the top and seats are off. My06 is currently at 72000 miles. Any comments or suggestions will be very helpful.

if you ever plan on doing forced induction, you could replace the fuel pump while the top if out. I believe it is right below the deck under the soft top.

 

You may consider adding BQuiet and other (Thinsulate) sound deadening under the seats and transmission tunnel. While you are at it remove door panels and add it there too. Doors close with a thunk and the speakers, whatever you have, will be much improved.

 

Make sure you have a rivet gun and additional rivets in different lengths

 

I guess the "weekend" is long past. How'd it work out?

Didn't start yet. Hopefully going to start in Jan 2020. I will have it documented just in case I have an extra bolt
