Just spun my S onto a curb.
So I spun my car onto a curb tonight. I was hoping to get some advice on what I need to look for as far as damage/potential problems.
I was making a left turn from a light at about 30 in heavy rain (no, I wasnt pushing her) and all of a sudden the back end just goes no where...I spin and end up rolling up onto a curb backwards; at first she didnt want to turn, but she fired up again after a few tries and I simply rolled her off and went straight home.
There doesnt appear to be any damage and shes driving fine. I'm thinking I should take her into the dealership tomorrow to get everything checked out.
I don't know how I didnt hit anyone, or how everyone avoided me, but I'm really thankful that things didnt turn out way worse... I mean, I ended up facing oncoming traffic with a rear wheel on the sidewalk.
Any advice on what to look out for as far as problems/damage would be appreciated.
Thanks

been there done that-
put mine into the curb through a left turn too.
except mine resulted in a power slide into the curb. i got control just before the curb, so was lucky not to bend the rim.
plenty of curb rash, and mashed in quarter panel and exhaust- my solutions:
1. rebend the rear quarter panel by hand (using a piece of wood to reshape)- not a hard job and easy to make it reshape to new condition....
2. replace the exhaust - good excuse to get a spugen dual oval!
3. rubbing compound out the rear quarter panel.
result:
new car, except for wheel- will replace the wheels with gt3s in the next couple of months (wanted to wait for the tires to be worn!).

They are not "downright dangerous" - but 30 mph in a 90 degree turn (like at a light) is too fast in heavy rain. In any RWD car people need to slow down. Go watch F1 in the rain. You'll notice their lap times are slower. Make sense now?
I can't imagine if some of the "S02's are death traps" people were driving Carerras's in the 80's. Thank god there wasn't web access back then.
