Default Just test drove a 08 and a 06

I just got back from driving an brand new o8 and a used 06 with 24k miles on it. For the used one they are asking for 21,995. Which is a killer deal in my opinion.

I read that the spring rate on the 08 went up. But it was hardly noticeable.

All I can say is that the newer one is so much smoother and feels so much nicer.

While the 2 used s2000s I drove so far feels so much more bumpier. Both used ones seemed to be in very good condition, no accidents and new tires.

That's a good deal on the 06, and unless the 08 is a CR the the 06 is the better performer. Every two year honda tunes the balance more toward understeer, and they may have gone a little too far in 08. So I'd say go with the 06, but as an 06 owner, I'm biased. Is it the color you want? Don't settle on color. Finally at 24K it's probably ready for new tires. So take a good look, at the tread, including the inside edge of the front tires.

+1. At 20k miles, my front tires on the inside are pretty bald. The only thing holding me back from saying to get the 08, are the seats. I really can't stand how much pointier the headrests are. Other than that, go for it.

21,995 sounds like a steal. compare that to $34k for the CR. if you dont care about owning a used car or having the "best ever," i think the used one will be a much better deal long term.

Your post has all three of us wondering if our 06 has really depreciate that much!!! I have a 30,000 mile 06, and I was hoping that it was at least worth 24K.

I think where you live may have a significant impact on how much you pay.

And since no one actually fills out their profile, we'll never know how to compare.
