Barry
Only 4,081 miles?
How often do you take her out for a ride?
I can't imagine driving my S like that especially for a MY01.

congrat's on the purchase and welcome to the cult.

make sure you read your owners manual (believe it or not it actually contains some useful tidbits) and check out the FAQ section of this board.

break her in properly and she should give you plenty of smiles per mile.

Yes, that's true. As of this posting, my car has given me approximately 6.42 smiles per mile (thru a total of 48,721mi). Which compares favorably to my dad's Q, which sees a SPM of only 5.32; my mom's G has netted 7.59 SPM, but as it is a new car with less than 3000mi, I'm assuming the SPM will steadily decrease. I'm expecting it to drop to no lower than 5.84 SPM, though.

Welcome. This is a great place to be, and I expect to be here for a long time too.

For me, I get about 1 Smile Per Mile on my S2000. But remember, a higher SPM isn't necessarily better -- it just means the driver might be smiling CONTINUOUSLY!
