Default K&N FIPK

I think I am going to purchase one to go with my AUT cooling plate. I did some searching on here and didn't really come up with an answer. I saw where someone with an 06 installed model #63-3514. They had to plug a hole on the tube and drill another hole.
Is there a model made now for the 06-07 that already has this done from K&N?

I have the same FIPK kit on my '06. You don't have to drill any new holes in the tube. Just plug the intake temp sensor into the supplied hole (which had a different use in pre-'06 cars) instead of plugging it up and drilling a new one.

Cool, that is what I was thinking when I looked at the thread where the guy drilled a new whole and plugged the other. I was thinking you could just use the one already there.

Thanks

I guess you could use the "unuse hole" for the 06. But since K&N instruction said to plug that hole and drill the hole for the AIT. I didn't want to take any chance and f***k up the tube. So I drilled.

I drilled as well, didn't want to deal with sealing that much larger hole with the smaller temp sensor in it, and not getting the sensor in the actual airflow.

I thought it could easily work like this.
Pop the grommit into the bung that is already there.

So what size drill bit was used for the new hole?

You should not need to drill see above.
Why make another hole in the pipe.

Is it the same size hole in which the sensor will fit ok?
