I liked it . It worked better than the stock set-up, but when you get stuck in a traffic jam it can heat soak a bit (just cause the engine temps increase, not that the plastic arm gets hot or retains heat or anything).

you have to drill a hole for the inlet air temp sensor.......
However, there is a bung on the k&n air tube that you just slice off, and drill the ground off bung spot to accept the inlet air grommet. That way, you don't have to use the ugly cap and hose clamp.
Love my FIPK.

I have a K&N short ram. I like it, other than the heat bog issues. I don't have A/C, so I usually don't drive it >90F anyways. It sounds great, better throttle response, maybe 1-3hp. If I had to do it again, I would get an FIPK. Those mostly eliminate the heat bog issue and provide even better throttle response.

i like mine. no regrets. if i could do it over again i would probably go with a snorkel just to try something different, but the fipk deff sounds good and being able to clean the filter so easily and cheap is nice. and no risk of hydrolock is always a plus

I have an FIPK, the sound alone is worth the price.

I have the FIPK also, it excellent. As for drilling, I didn't have to drill any type of hole, you must be talking about a different intake.
