Default K&N or PRM intake?

Which intake would you purchase, the K&N FIPK or the PRM unit? Why?
PRM and K&N owners, if given the chance would you buy the same intake again (happy with your purchase)?

I love my K&N. Has a great sound, gives gains, and no worries of hydrolock (I have a vented hood so I now have to worry about that unfortunatly).

Plus it was relitivly inexpensive

K&N. Good gains, nice tone, realatively low price.

I used to have a PRM intake and gave it to my girlfriend because I got an awesome deal on a K&N. Honestly, I can't really tell any difference between the two. There's a slight different in the sound, but neither one is better than the other. Just get whichever one you can find for cheaper.

The K&N is the only intake I've had on my S but I have to say I really enjoy the sound. I wouldn't say there's a whole lot more pull (guaged by the butt dyno), but you get a nice littly growl at WOT. The unit is we'll thought out (as you'd expect from K&N) ie. Heat shield and you even get a "dyno" graph showing the hp gain lol. All kidding aside I love the intake and it makes the drive even more enjoyable!

I have the PRM Intake that I bought pretty cheap from the classifieds. The only reason I bought it was for the sound it makes. I never expected to really gain anything power wise from it. I lost the drastic feeling of Vtec kicking in that is there in stock form and got more of a continuous transition now. To be honest, I think that I actually lost some power but that is probably just because it lost that "on/off" feeling that used to be there before. If I had to do it again I would get something else similar to the stock design. Unfortunately, all the ones I have seen with that type of design are way more money then I would consider paying for any Intake so I'll stick with what I have
