Default KARR Alarm - Your thoughts?

Greetings Folks,

How many of you have the KARR Alarm installed by the Dealer on your S2000?

Have you had any problems with it?

Did they install an additional LED and Valet Switch for you?

What are your overall thoughts/suggestions/concerns with this Alarm, the install, etc.

My S2000 had it installed when I bought it. I went to www.karrsecurity.com and noticed that this alarm is manufactured by Clifford.

Just want to be sure that this alarm is not going to cause me any problems or crap out on me.

Many thanks in advance for your time... nico

I had it for about a week before I forced the dealer to rip it out. I don't know if it was teh installation or the alarm itself, but I had a problem with it every single day for the first week it was in my car. The same people that installed and tried to fix it re-installed a very nice clifford (the one on the car when it was traded in), and I haven't had a single bit of trouble since then...

Clifford alarms are part of DEI (Directed Electronics Inc., Vista CA). I don't think they are affiliated with KARR alarms. DEI also makes Hornet, Viper and other car alarm lines.

Look into purchasing a perimeter alarm, I wish I had had prior knowledge of them before wasting my money on a switch alarm.
