so i wanna make a spare, but the previous owner changed the key code and only had one key. he also does not know what the key code is.
is there a way to find out what the key code is? like a scanner tool of some sort?
or am i just gonna have to recode the ignition and keys?

 

I had a spare made at Walmart for $50. They had a cutting machine that read the old key and programed the new key.
