key fabs not working..

Smile key fabs not working..

sup my damn key fabs stopped working, i tried re programming them following the directions in the owners manual and it didnt work..where is the security module on the car..i saw it in the book and cant find it on the car

check the above and then check the connections to the alarm under your seat-

happened to me once too... i keep a hat under my seat and it had managed to loosen the wires on the alarm (from being shoved under there many times) which caused the remote key not to work. plugging the wire back in fixed it for me-

i replaced the batteries in both fobs- no luck... then started checking wires and found the problem.
hope yours is that easy!

yeahhhhh FOB whatever damnit hahha. ya i was lookin for that alarm thing everywhere but i never thought to look under the seat thanks for the info ill check in the morning

finally got around to taking the car in...
was told that the security control unit is out- ordered a new one

This is a tad off topic, but it relates. The factory alarm was an option correct? Does anyone know how much they charge to install that after the fact?

^ about $465 parts and labor...that's for '07's i'd think '02 would be very close to that.
