Key stick in ignition

Default Key stick in ignition
so go and start my car like usual and now my key is stuck in the ignition. I can turn from position 1 to position 2 but that is it. I can't seem to turn my key to position 0 to remove my key. Is there something I can do or do I have to resort to a lock smith?

Have you tried (gently) moving the steering wheel back and forth already?
