kg/mm springs help
hey guys
i recently got my S lowered and after a little reserach, i decided to go with race springs. I went in to a reputable shop here in Vancouver Canda, to put order on kg/mm race springs. They told me 3 days later to go back and get them installed. Anyways when i got the car back, I found the drop very INSIGNIFICANT. One friend said right away, "did you even lower it?" Now I know the sport springs don't lower the car as much as race springs do. Currently, I can fit 3 fingers in the front inbetween the wheel gaps, and 2 fingers in the back. I find this odd, becuase everyone told me the race springs would be a lot lower. Now on the box, it says KG/MM DR21 supersport???
Did the shop give me the worng springs? Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. I didn't want to just go into the shop without doing my reserach first.

First way to make a quick check is look at the color of the springs. Are they blue or goldish yellow?
blue = sport
goldish yellow = race
It sorta sounds like they didn't preload the suspension prior to tq the bolts.
From the moment mine hit the floor (after kg/mm race install) I had 2 fingers in front and a tight 2 in back (geez that sounds kinky right now...) anyway, it settled a little more with some miles.

.....uh crap..guess I shouldn't drink and post.....(box says SS duh)
just re-read your post and it most def sounds like you have the supersports. I'm betting they are blue.
Your "finger ruler" sounds about right for the SS drop though.

yes they did. they are both dr21 but take a look under your car. the goldlish color is the race and the blue are the supersport. if yours actually says supersport then its the wrong springs. they will settle a little more though. good luck.
