LOL no he didn't, it's just that little difference that you can't even tell . Maybe get some s2000 decals on there to make them stand out a little more? Also, you're painting over a mostly silver caliper with silver paint, have you tried clear coat (it will add a gloss to the calipers)? This may make them more noticeable as well.
Yeah, it's not the same picture twice. It's really before and after! I don't think decals is what I want. To me, it says, "Look! This car has brakes, man!" I didn't go with red for that reason. It's good when the calipers match the body color or are a neutral color. But I was hoping for a lighter colored silver. It's a gloss finish, so I don't know that clear coat will help. Plus, clear coat may not be a good idea on those hot calipers. Caliper paint is made to withstand the heat. Oh, well, it's still an improvement (albeit slight).
Ok, the sun is setting and another hour has gone by and it looks a bit better in this picture. Still darker than I was hoping for in color, but not so bad.
Unless you paint the calipers another color (red, black, blue, etc) I don't think much of a difference will be noticed. Remember, there are people that can't tell the difference between sebring and silverstone.
You're going from gray to silver. How much of a difference do you expect?
Not much. To me, mod should stand for moderation. But I was hoping they would be a bit lighter. Still, it's definitely an improvement over the dark olive gray it was before. When I posted this thread, there was almost no difference in color between the before and after. Overall, now that a few hours have passed and the color has lightened as it dries, I'm happy.
