I'm ready for new set of rims for my S2000.... I'm stuck between 18" Kinesis K28R and 18" BBS LM... I like the kinesis because of custom offset and you could run bigger tire but it cost too much. I like the BBS LM because to me the LM are the best looking wheels out there especially with custom polish lip...but the offset is limited for S2000. I still think the offset for the back is wrong for the S2000. IT should be 70+ on the offset. I saw Wantone white S2000 with the BBS LM in person and to me the back don't look right ...it looks good in the picture....maybe it's the offset?? Does BBS make custom wheel??
I think the Kenesis look better than BBS. And they match the car better. I think BBS only look good on BMW's. I think they kinda look like crap on the S2000. Just my opinion though.
BBS LMs are the best looking rims ever made and are BBS's flagship street wheel. Everyone attempts to copy that patented mesh style in one way or another.
But you are right also in that to get the best fitment, you gotta go custom and Kinesis offers just that. Kinesis K-28s have one of the best center designs outside of BBS.
With a few tweaks, I am able to avoid all rubbing on my LMs and with that aggressive offset, you get one of the widest lips you can get on the rears. And the tires just sit flush right up to the fender for that wide, hunkered down look that is simply mesmerizing when you see it rollin' down the street.
But I know it's a hassle to ghetto trim parts of the fender.
If you have the funds, go with the Kinesis. I've yet to see the K-28s on the S2000. I recommend the standard grey, anodized centers. It will look fantastic on the sebring just like on this S4.
And I believe that custom polished lip you are referring is on my set of LMs unless someone else happened to do the same.
