Which knob to get?
I'm just not crazy about having a leather shift knob, so I'm looking at either the spun aluminum Voodoo or the 340g Razo sphere. Both have their advantages... the Voodoo has true metal threads, while the Razo has drop-in plastic inserts to match different thread patterns. However, the Razo is nearly twice the weight of the Voodoo.
Does anyone know what the stock knob weighs compared to the aluminum Voodoo knobs? Ideally I'd just get the titanium Voodoo, but I don't really want to pay more than $100 for a ball of metal.
Also, has anyone tried the Razo (and hopefully both)? Is the Razo countersunk at all?
Thanks guys.

I have the pearl Voodoo and I love it, I don't have a scale but it's probably 1/3 lighter than the MY04 stock leather covered knob, It sits CONSIDERABLY lower, and makes the throws much shorter.

I can just see the plastic threads on the Razo giving you problems. Get the Voodoo (or whatever it's now called). Shorter throws are da bomb!
(Isn't Razo kind of a ricey brand anyway? I just seem to see a lot of that stuff on Civics and Neons. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.)
I've never heard of a countersunk razo.
BTW, you dont want lightwieght knobs. tehy are teh suck! Makes u feel every vibration, rattle, clunck, notch in the gearbox. A heavy knob feels best, cuz its intertia during shifts dampens the notchiness.

Here's a whole heap more solid spherical countersunk knobs you can choose from at reasonable prices. All these knobs have set screws in the stem so you can align the shift pattern correctly (if you chose one with a pattern).
