You might look into the koni/ground control kit. I think it would be a pretty good bet since the ground control sleeve is a coilover type of system that will allow you to adjust your exact ride height. It sounds like you may have made a mistake with those springs.

I've heard people use the same springs with Konis and swear by it. The previous owner that had the wheels were on Eibachs and stock shocks as well. How much do the Koni Coilovers run?

well, this is where im gonna have to disagree with you.

i may not be a fan of koni's, but im a fan of eibach pro kits. i dont think they are the "wrong" set of springs. and i dont think ground controls with their default spring rates which are much stiffer are really what rev happy is looking for. unless he has bottoming out issues, which he's only said he has seldom rubbing issues, getting stiffer springs doesnt seem like the right prescription. in my experience, eibach pro kits give a reasonable drop with a reasonable spring rate increase for street performance driving. and he should focus on fixing the rubbing issues instead of what to change in the suspension (shocks and springs), which he hasnt directly complained about.

i think GC kit is great too. but theyre not for everyone. but if rev happy is going to be happy with stiffer springs to limit the wheel travel, then so be it. hope it all works out.

i think im at $.06 now.

Completely gut your trunk of all carpet, tools, and tire. This will slightly raise the car. If it's not enough, switch to single outlet. My car is 1/2-3/4 inch higher than stock.

i have 18s on eibachs... rubbed on all 4 when installed.
had darin do an aggressive street alignment and the only rubbing now is on decent sized bumps and only in the front.
try out the alignment- its a good idea regardless of the rubbing and if it helps thats a plus

I've had eibach pro kits on 18's for a year. I rubbed once at 143 miles an hour on freeway. Other than that, never rubs. Wierd

Wanabe, I just want to let you know that it was your set-up that made me get my wheels and Eibachs. I hae an appointment with Darin for the 20th. Hopefully the alignment will make a world of difference. Thanks.
