Default Koni yellows-- Modify them to drop more?

I have some koni yellows on the way along with some tein s-tech springs... I remember from my audi days that some people on the forums just had a shop machine another groove (perch) on the shocks... Will this work? Becasue this way you can place them exactly where you want them. Any one tried this yet?

How much of a drop are you looking for? The Tein's will drop it about 1", and there's already a 2nd groove on the Koni that will drop it another 1/2".

you're probably better off doing some new springs.

if you drop it too much you may bottom out due to the same suspension travel but with less room for it to move.

So,1"inch for the springs,+1/2"inch for the Koni=1.5 ".
Is that too much of a drop for good handling?
Nearly in the same situation;Kg/mm Sport+koni.

I realise that, but I did ahve one... And I remember reading about this in some of the forums... I think it's a great idea (if it works) regardless of what car it is being used for. I'm just trying to gather some info on the subject.
