Mingster-

No. Unless you are talking about the German Koenig brand- you know the Ferrari Testarossa twin turbo conversion, etc...

Hey Mingster-

Yup. Cheeseball copycat wheels- usually cast, not very strong, suitable for really, really old CVCC Civics... At least, that's all I'd put them on...

Nope...those things are heavy.

Except for the Toxins.

i had some 17" on my last car,a honda prelude sh.they were konig toxxins.i raised hell in them, never bent a wheel.only problem i had was the clearcoat.it didn't want to stay on the machined lip.other than that,i was pleased.i have had worse wheels than my konigs.still got them if someone wants to put them on a 5x4.5 bolt pattern .they aren't in perfect shape, but will look better than nothing.

Violation speaks the truth. They just copy cat everyone else, with half the quality (hence half the price of REAL wheels). Just mah two cents.

Now here's my two cents. I have a 4th gen Prelude and have had a total of 4 sets of aftermarket rims. Here's my take on Konig quality:

17" Konig Tantrums. Used them on my car for about 2.5 years, through hard Milwaukee city streets (and those streets are almost as bad as Detroit's city streets and highway). I thought they were great, no bent rims, and only a clear coat problem one wheel. The clearcoat started to flake off around a little Konig tag they put on one spoke.

18" Konig Toxxins, "factory" powder coated from Konig. I just got these rims in the end of May 2000. (Short anecdote, I got them when I bought the S2K. . .I didn't want the Prelude to feel like the older child when parents bring home their new baby---> you neglected). For 18" rims, these rims are pretty light. They been driven hard in Chicago and the suburbs (road are better than decent). I have had no problems with them. The only complaints i've had are that the plastic ring that covers the lugs are CHEAP in quality. The other complaint is that I was not that impressed with the finish on the white powder coat.

Other rims I have or had:

17" Racing Hart Tracers. EXCELLENT quality and finish. Too damn expensive and heavy. Used them hard in Milwaukee for one year (through summer and winter).

17" OZ Lagunas. Excellent quality. Finish on the clearcoat could have been better. Not as expensive as the Racing Harts but still expensive. Used them for about 2 years through snow, sleet, rain, and heat. They are now my winter rims for my Lude.

Let me sum up my opinions now:

As far as Konigs go, I would get another set of these, great quality and worth of value. However, I would only get these for either my Prelude, my fiance's daily driver a Civic, my sister's Accord, or for an Integ. I'd hate to put them on anything else but a ricer (no offense intended here).

The Racing Harts, I would definetly not get anymore of these rims unless I had a really high end car to put them on. They are great to look at, but my concern was constantly on trying not to scratch these rims, or miss as many big bumps or potholes as I could. It took away from the driving experience.

OZ's, if OZ cam out with a design that complimented the look our S2K's, I wouldn't think twice to get them. I think that the price may be high, but the quality of the rim is also high. You really get what you pay for with these.

Another brand I am interested in is a new brand. They are called Velox. Anyone know or hear anything about this company. All their ads in the import magazines showcase their rims on high end Japanese cars (NSX, S2K, other Acuras). I am interested in seeing a final product of theirs.

Sorry message was so long.
