Had my s2k in at King today to get Mugen-ified. Got the header, ECU, thermostat and higher pressure rad. cap.

As you'd expect, King did a great job, the parts were perfect and the car feels more powerful and smoother mid-band, just as advertised.

I'd highly recommend these modifications to the other folks here.

Regards,

R

Mugen makes an ecu upgrade?! It's not on the site. How much is it? Any details?

Yes Mugen makes one, Kings Motor Sport has it for a while though. Recently it did get added to the Japanese Mugen Site officially among the list of the ecu for other cars.
Price is $1500 from kings and this is separate stand alone unit unlike others which you have to send yours in to have it modified.

If you can spare $1500 I recommend it. Installation is very simple and you get nice low to mid end push with eliminating bogging as well as consistent power delivery as promised by lifting you off from the very sensitive power cut protection. Spec is not in great detail but you can check the photo of my ECU's data sheet in my photo album.
Actually here:

As you can see the vtec and the rev-limit is unchanged.
Various sensor cut means you have to be very responsible and take care in operation of the vehicle, it also recommends exaust upgrade, of course Mugen's would be the best. Also take note that it will disable the immobilizer function with this ECU.
Since the installation is very easy, you can easily put back your stock ECU if needed and repeat the process as much as you can.
If you are going to be in competition, this is a must have.

For some value conscious this may be too costly for the benefit but it is certainly effective in what it can do for your S2000.

Is there any way you could hook both up and switch from on to another like before a race or something?
