Default Kw Variant 3 Coilovers Installation difficulty

As the titles says. Rear coilovers went on no problem. I tried to install the front right. And it will not fit. I can not get the bottom of the coilover to fit around the control arm. The bracket or whatever the U shape is at the bottom of the Kw coilover seems to narrow to fit around the control arm. I havent tried the left side yet. Might try that first tomorrow. Has anyone experienced this issue? Anyone got a fix?

I imagine it would be easy for that U piece to become bent out of shape if it were mishandled. Crushed by something, etc. Should be easy enough to bend it back.

Like use a pair large adjustable wrenches, or similar, to spread it out. One wrench on each leg of U, pry apart.

Just make sure you only torque one side against the other. You don't want to put stress on shock body or shaft.

No worries if you spread a little too far, bolt will crush it back into place on install.

I managed to get it back in without the need of bending the bottom of the coilover thankfully. I was at all means trying to avoid that situation lol
